Resurrection Sunday: Amazing Grace
In this powerful Resurrection Sunday message, we're challenged to move beyond simply remembering Christ's death on the cross to fully embracing the reality that He is risen. Drawing from Romans 11, we discover that God has never abandoned His people—not Israel, and certainly not us. The sermon beautifully dismantles the myth of abandonment that so many of us struggle with, reminding us that even when we feel utterly alone, God is working behind the scenes, preparing and refining us. Like Elijah by the brook, we're sometimes placed in seasons of isolation not because God has left us, but because He's training us to rely solely on Him. The central truth here is grace—unearned, undeserved, and unstoppable. We cannot earn our salvation through works or performance; it's God's extreme makeover of our souls. When we bring our broken, unfixable selves before Jesus, He makes us unrecognizable, perfect in the Father's eyes. The resurrection proves that God's grace is stronger than our disobedience, and His will is always accomplished. Whether we're sitting by a dried-up brook wondering when God will move, or feeling like spiritual failures, this message reminds us that we simply cannot quit. The inability to quit, combined with God's relentless grace, is what makes us spiritually elite.
